About
Recording financial data is solved. Understanding it is not.
Almost every business now captures its financial activity accurately. Bank feeds are automatic, ledgers reconcile, invoices arrive as data. And yet the same companies still cannot answer straightforward questions quickly: why margin moved, whether growth is real, how long the cash lasts under a hiring plan.
The gap is interpretation. Interpretation has traditionally required an expensive person with time to spend, and most companies have neither. So the questions go unasked, and decisions get made on instinct with a spreadsheet attached for reassurance.
NanoFora exists to close that gap. It reads your financial data, answers questions about it in plain language, and — critically — shows its working every single time. We are not trying to replace your accountant. We are trying to make sure that by the time you talk to them, you already know which question to ask.
Principles
What we refuse to compromise on
Traceability over confidence
An answer nobody can verify is worse than no answer. Every figure NanoFora shows can be followed back to the transaction and document it came from.
Determinism where it matters
Language models are excellent at explanation and unreliable at arithmetic. We use them for the first and never for the second.
Boundaries, stated plainly
NanoFora is analysis software. It is not a licensed accountant, auditor or investment adviser, and we say so wherever it matters rather than in fine print.
Isolation as architecture
Multi-tenant financial data is only safe when separation is enforced by the database, not by the care of whoever wrote the last query.
The name
Nano for the granularity — analysis that goes down to the individual transaction rather than stopping at the summary. Fora for the forum: a place where evidence is presented, examined and argued with. That is the standard we hold our own output to.
